Italy has many beauties and, many of them, have opened up to a very active friendly tourism and that combines the pleasure of art, cuisine and entertainment. For Valentine’s Day, the ideal is to move to the small villages of our country. Destinations that, recently, have become very popular precisely because these small towns offer all the beauty of our traditions, for a friendly and very inclusive experience. For the occasion, we have selected 5 villages that are perfect to visit and experience on the weekend before February 14.
Valentine’s Day and the village of Agropoli
It is enchanting village located in the province of Salerno and is one of the most beloved gay and friendly destinations in Italy and the south. Here art, culture and nature come together to create a breathtaking landscape and unique atmosphere. The town stands on the top of a hill overlooking the sea, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. It is characterized by narrow streets and lined with ancient buildings, as well as churches that stand out for their distinctive architectural style, such as the Church of Saints Peter and Paul or the Church of Santa Maria Addolorata. From here it is also easy to find the entrance to the Cilento National Park.
Valentine’s Day and the village of Sant’Angelo.
This is a small village in Lazio, a few kilometers from Rome. It is renowned for its fairy-tale atmosphere, itscolorful walls and lined with clues that offer visitors a truly unique opportunity to spend a different Valentine’s Day than usual. It is located in the province of Siena, conveniently located even for those coming from Florence, and is a real gem. In the heart of the Pisan countryside, but also very close to the borders of the provinces of Siena and Livorno. Today, Volterra is a popular tourist destination, a must-see for those who choose to visit Tuscany, thanks mainly to the beauty of its historic center, but also for its centuries-old tradition in the extraction and working of alabaster, with which the skilled hands of the city’s craftsmen churn out inimitable objects.
