LGBT beaches: in Liguria there is the beach of Guvano
Located a few kilometers from Corniglia, municipality of Vernazza (La Spezia), it is a hidden and fascinating corner of the Cinque Terre. Although Corniglia is the only village in the Cinque Terre not directly facing the sea, paradoxically hosts one of the area’s most enchanting beaches, famous for nudism and frequented since the 1970s by hippies. The stretch of beach between Via Sacramento and Via S. Andrea in Sabaudia becomes particularly frequented by the queer community in the afternoons during the winter and until evening in the summer. Although naturism is not officially allowed, the place remains a hotspot for those seeking a freer seaside experience and informal, where one can also make interesting encounters. From Sorrento, one can take a regular bus from downtown to Capo di Sorrento. Once at Capo di Sorrento, follow a short, well-marked path that leads directly to the cliff in about twenty minutes.

Located on the stretch of coast between Pizzo Calabro and Lamezia Terme, it is one of the most popular destinations for the gay community in Calabria, thanks to its natural beauty and welcoming setting. This long beach of white sand mixed with gravel is washed by the crystal clear waters of the Calabrian sea and is located in the municipality of Curinga, in the province of Catanzaro. The beach is accessible from the SS18, and offers not only shade and coolness but also privacy. Behind the pine forest, the beach is clean and attracts many visitors, especially during the summer, but also on winter weekends.
